GetSki was born on a chairlift in Chamonix. Two skiers, frustrated by opaque rental prices and last-minute shops, decided to build the comparison tool they always wanted. Today we help thousands of skiers across the Alps find the best gear at the best price.
Renting ski equipment should be as simple as booking a hotel room. Yet for years, the industry has been fragmented — dozens of local shops with different pricing, hidden fees, and no easy way to compare. We set out to change that.
GetSki aggregates inventory from major rental chains like Intersport Rent, Sport 2000, and Skiset, alongside independent local shops and private owners. Every listing is standardised so you can compare apples to apples: same ski level, same package, same duration.
We are passionate skiers first, and entrepreneurs second. That means we will never recommend a rental shop we would not use ourselves — and we will always put transparency over commission.

How we create and verify the content you read on GetSki.
All articles published on getski.com are written by the GetSki editorial team — skiers and travel writers with personal experience of the resorts they cover. We do not accept guest posts, sponsored articles, or third-party submissions. Every article is written, edited, and fact-checked in-house.
Our resort guides combine first-hand visits with verified data from official resort websites, lift-pass operators, and government tourism boards. Prices, altitudes, run kilometres, and season dates are checked against primary sources at the start of every season. Where we estimate, we say so explicitly.
GetSki is a rental marketplace and earns a commission when you book ski equipment through partner shops listed on the site. This commission does not affect editorial coverage: rental partners are selected on quality, customer reviews, and licensing — not on commission rates. We never write biased comparisons that favour our partners over competitors.
GetSki does not publish fake testimonials, fictitious user reviews, or invented quotes. Customer reviews shown on rental pages are passed through directly from the rental partner's own booking system. Where we have not yet collected enough reviews to display, the page shows no review section at all.
Errors are corrected promptly. If you spot an inaccuracy in any article — outdated prices, wrong altitudes, closed lifts — please email [email protected] and we will update the page within 48 hours and add a correction note where relevant.
We use AI-assisted writing tools to draft outlines and accelerate research. Every published article is then edited, verified against primary sources, and signed off by a human editor before publication. Articles that fail our internal quality gate (length, structure, factual checks, antiplagiarism) are not published.
